Providing safe, reliable and professional transportation for our students.

Angleton ISD's fleet of 70 buses travels on an average of more than 3700 miles daily on 39 routes to transport more than 2,900 students to and from school. These buses are part of a well-organized, safety-oriented transportation system, with each bus inspected and repaired regularly.

Because of the precious cargo carried on school buses, great care is given to drivers' qualifications, certification, training, and operational requirements. Drivers must pass an annual physical and medical exam as prescribed by the Texas Department of Public Safety, as well as a pre-employment drug/alcohol test, criminal records background check and annual driver's license record check. Drivers are also subject to random alcohol and drug screenings throughout their employment.

Angel Kersten

Ms. Kersten joined the Angleton ISD team as the Director of Transportation in October 2015. She has served as a school transportation professional since 2005 in other local area school districts. She has been an active member of the Texas Association for Pupil Transportation since 2006, serving on the organization's Executive Committee from 2014 through 2018 in the capacities of Historian, Parliamentarian and Secretary. She currently serves as the TAPT Treasurer.
