Dr. Keely Scruggs
Welcome to College, Career & Military Readiness Planning. My name is Keely Scruggs and I am the CCMR Coordinator for Angleton ISD. This is my 19th year in education, having worked as a Language Arts teacher for nine years and later serving as both an assistant principal and campus principal. Most of my years as an educator was in the Pasadena Independent School District, and later working in Bay City. This is my second year in Angleton ISD.
I received my Bachelor of Literature degree at the University of Houston Clear Lake in 2001. In 2009 I received my Master's Degree in Educational Administration and in 2014 I received my Doctorate in Educational Leadership both from Lamar University.
My philosophy in education is that learning is a life long journey, and it is our mission to ensure all students are prepared for high school and beyond. It is the responsibility of educators to enrich and engage students with a vast network of resources and experiences that will lead them to be accomplished, civil minded members of society. The future and outcome of our students' lives depend on the support of parents, educators and community to shape those who will be the thinkers, leaders and creative minds of our world. Our fundamental role as an educator must elicit curiosity and nurture an excitement for learning that will carry students throughout their lives.
