I am so excited to introduce myself as the new principal of Angleton Junior High. I am honored to have been selected to join the Angleton Independent School District, which has a reputation of producing learners and leaders who overcome obstacles and blaze trails to impact our community and beyond. My passion for education and supporting the success of all students has been shaped over the last 19 years as a fine arts teacher, special programs and assessment principal, assistant principal, and principal in the Houston, Texas area. In each of my roles, I have sought to ensure the success of each student and school, by providing the best instructional and extracurricular opportunities and support possible. It is my mission to motivate, inspire and propel each member of our school and community toward continued excellence and lifelong learning.
Our Angleton Junior High School community of learners is “dedicated to the belief that all lives have value, and through education, compassion, and respect we can work together to build a better tomorrow.” Our goal is for all students to be successful while working together toward a standard of academic excellence. We work hard to support one another and grow together. The school’s climate provides personalized learning for every student, while building on strong community partnerships. In our school community everyone is treated fairly, respected, and appreciated.
Over the past few weeks I have had the privilege of getting to know some amazing people in Angleton. One of the greatest takeaways from these conversations has been the immense enthusiasm and pride for the school and community. It is through that same enthusiasm and pride that I look forward to becoming a part of the community with my own family and working with each of you to continue “A Tradition of Excellence” in AISD.
I look forward to a great year! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas that you would like to discuss.
