Hi Central Wildcats,
I am truly honored to be a part of the Central family, and I look forward to continuing to be an integral part of the overall success of the campus. Working together, I am confident that we will continue to provide students and their families with a truly welcoming, loving, and challenging school experience.
I am beginning my fifteenth year in education. I worked seven years as a classroom teacher, before moving into the role as school counselor at Westside Elementary for five years. I have taught first grade, fourth grade, intervention pull-out program, and second grade. Let me just say, I love my elementary friends! Elementary is such a crucial time in a child’s life, and my passion is helping them become successful citizens with a life-long love of learning. We, in elementary, have a huge job of igniting the spark for further success in a child’s life, and I know that Central Elementary continually does a fabulous job of this each and every day.
My goal as Principal is to provide the leadership that will facilitate a school environment that is safe and respectable, in order for our students to receive the best possible academic and social emotional experience. I am committed to working closely with teachers, parents, and community members to ensure our children achieve their full potential.
I am beyond excited to have the privilege of leading this amazing campus, and being an integral part of your students’ success at Central. If you have any questions or need anything, please feel free to contact me at 979-864-8004.
Respectfully,
Amber McCormick

I am Adrienne Tumlinson and I am delighted to serve as your Assistant Principal! I moved to this area in 2022 and became an official Wildcat as an Instructional Coach at Rancho Elementary and Southside Elementary. Prior to that, I have lived in 5 states and two other countries, moving 12 times in 20 years. I couldn’t be happier to finally find my forever home in this area since my Army husband will retire in 2023 after over 25 years of service to our Amazing country.
I graduated from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor with a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a Reading Specialization. I then completed my master’s degree at University of Texas Arlington. Prior to becoming an Assistant Principal, I taught 3rd and 5th grade, GT Coordinator for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, Elementary Math and Reading Intervention, Dyslexia, MTSS Coordinator, and Instructional Coach.
I love learning ad everything about school so I mainly read educational articles and books to help students succeed. I enjoy shopping, traveling, and most of all, spending time with my family, husband Lt. Col. Ben Tumlinson, and my three amazing daughters Madalyn (17), Mayson (15), Morgan (10) and my French Bulldog, Nacho.
Caring about children and seeing beyond who they are today, to who they have the potential to become, is what teaching is all about. I feel blessed to be with our staff and students every day. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.
