Sonia Stephenson
Counselor
My name is Sonia Stephenson, and I am beyond thrilled to be your School Counselor at Central Elementary! I am passionate about creating an open environment for kids to talk about life, and helping them work through everyday hardships, as well as celebrating their accomplishments!
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from The University of Houston-Clear Lake. During the last 20 years, I have taught Kinder thru 4th grade, either as a classroom teacher or as an RTI Interventionist in Brazosport ISD. Later in my career, I went on to earn my Master’s Degree in School Counseling and as a LPC from The University of St. Thomas. During my tenure, I have had the honor to teach some pretty incredible students while developing lifelong relationships with their parents (many that still exist today.) I look forward to doing the same here in the Angleton community.
Working with children has always been my passion. As your counselor, I will be an advocate for each and every student I serve. My goal is for your precious children to have a positive and successful academic, social and emotional experience here at Central.
