Welcome to First Grade!

This is going to be such an exciting time for you!  First grade is the foundation to learning reading, writing, spelling and math.  You will go on many adventures while improving your reading fluency.  You will enjoy writing creative stories and building your spelling by learning new words each week.  In math, you will continue to build your math facts, learn how to tell time, count money and many other exciting things! 

Parents, it is so important that we can work together to build your child’s success.  Reading each night with your child, practicing their spelling words and going over their sight words will help tremendously.  

We hope to instill the love of learning that will last throughout your child’s school years.
