Open Enrollment and Campus-to-Campus Transfer Procedure Updates for the 2023-2024 School Year:

Due to population growth in our district, no new applications will be considered or processed at this time.

    NEW: Legacy Student Transfers

A legacy student is a student who is a sibling of a current AISD student.

The district will allow for legacy student transfers as part of the renewal process.  Legacy students will be accepted contingent on the renewal of their sibling in compliance with our renewal guidelines.  In addition, the legacy student must also meet the renewal standards for acceptance by the campus administration.

If parents have questions, they can call the Assistant Superintendent's office at 979-864-8059.

CAMPUS TO CAMPUS RENEWAL APPLICATION

  • Renewal Applications are currently open.

    • If a student is zoned to an Angleton ISD campus and requests a transfer to another Angleton ISD campus, they must submit a Campus to Campus Renewal Application.
    • Please contact your campus of choice for a link to the Campus to Campus Renewal Application.
    • Applications will be emailed to the campus of choice once you submit the form.
    • The receiving campus principal will approve or deny the transfer and forward it to the Assistant Superintendent’s office for review.
    • The PEIMS office will send a copy to the parents, the zoned campus, and the receiving campus to serve as a notification that the transfer was approved or denied.
    • All transfers are for one school year. A renewal application must be submitted annually.

Transfers are granted on a first-come-first-served basis.

OPEN ENROLLMENT RENEWAL APPLICATIONS

  • Renewal Applications are currently open.

If a student resides in another district and currently attends Angleton ISD, they must submit an Open Enrollment Renewal Application.

Open Enrollment Renewal Applications require student records for the previous school year (or semester, if mid-year) to be attached:

    • Grades
    • Attendance & punctuality (tardies)
    • Discipline violations

Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. The application will be reviewed by the Campus Principal, the appropriate special programs director, and the Assistant Superintendent.

The Assistant Superintendent’s office will contact the parents and the campus to serve as a notification that the transfer was approved or denied. All transfers are for one school year only. A new application must be submitted annually. Please refer to the Angleton ISD Transfer Guidelines for more detailed information.
