We have confirmed that a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 was present in the office area at Angleton High School. The office, which has been closed due to the district-wide closing related to Hurricane Laura, will be closed tomorrow (Friday, August 28) and through the weekend in order for AISD to sanitize and disinfect the office area. The entire campus will also be sanitized and disinfected.
Other than the office area, the school will be open tomorrow and is safe for students and staff, and all classes will continue as previously announced. The office will be open Monday after it has been sanitized and disinfected.
Anyone who has been in contact with the individual who tested positive for COVID-19 has already been notified by phone.
For those needing to contact the AHS office or office staff, the 979-864-8001 number is still active.
Please continue to practice proper safety measures such as social distancing, hand washing and/or hand sanitizing, and mask-wearing when appropriate. We will continue to practice such safety measures while at school.
If parents have questions, they should contact the high school at 979-864-8001.
AISD will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation at all AISD campuses and will make appropriate decisions in the best interest of student and staff safety.
