Angleton ISD will soon dispose of the confidential records of students who have not received special education assessment, instruction, or related services since 08/01/2018.

**These records will be destroyed on 12/01/2023 unless a request is received to obtain a copy.  According to district officials, destruction of unused records protects against improper or unauthorized disclosure.  However, special education records may be of future importance for purposes such as applying for social security benefits. Therefore, if parents or adult students (or former students) need a copy, the district requires a request in writing.
