Each campus in AISD has a full-time certified school nurse available to meet the needs of all students. The school health program is governed by state and federal laws, local board policy, and State Board of Education rules. Health Services document required immunizations, maintain pupil health records, and conduct vision, hearing, and spinal screening. Nurses may be contacted by the campus administration phone number for additional information regarding health services.

Dena Bryson is the Lead Nurse for Angleton ISD and the campus nurse for the district’s largest elementary school, Westside Elementary. She has been a Registered Nurse since 1986. Nurse Bryson is married to Leslie Bryson, the owner of Bryson Memorials of Angleton. Both of their children, Chelsea and Zachary, attended AISD from K-12. When she is not working you can usually find her spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoys watching sports, cooking, reading, the beach, trying to learn Spanish and celebrating the holidays.
