Angleton ISD has set up a helpline for students and families to call in if they are in crisis or having difficulty coping with the stressors arising in this time of crisis. People can call if they need resources/temporary crisis management, support services, or referrals.
Students or parents can use the hotline. Someone from our Student Services Team (Social Worker, LPC or School Counselor) will return phone calls between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm on Mondays-Thursdays. Please note that the return call will come from an unknown/out-of-area phone number.

Angleton ISD ha establecido una línea telefónica de ayuda para estudiantes y familias para llamar si están en crisis o están teniendo dificultad enfrentando a los factores estresantes que surgen en este tiempo de crisis. La gente puede llamar si necesitan recursos/gestión de crisis temporales, servicios de apoyo, o referencias.
Los estudiantes o sus padres pueden utilizar la línea de ayuda telefónica. Alguien de nuestro equipo de Servicios Estudiantiles (Trabajador Social, un consejero escolar o LPC) devolverá la llamada telefónica entre lunes a jueves de 9am-2pm. Guidance for students experiencing Homelessness
McKinney-Vento provides the statutory definition of homelessness used by public school education. In compliance with McKinney-Vento, all homeless children are provided access to a free and appropriate public school education.
Under this Act, homelessness is defined as any student who lacks fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence. These conditions include, but are not limited to:
- Sharing housing (due to loss or hardship)
- Living in a hotel, motel, campgrounds, emergency or transitional shelters; abandoned in hospitals; or awaiting foster care placement.
- Primary nighttime residence not designed for ordinary use as a regular sleeping accommodation for human beings.
- Living in cars, parks, public spaces, abandoned buildings, substandard housing, or bus or train stations.
- Unaccompanied youth or youth not in the physical custody of a parent or guardian.
