At the end of the school day around dismissal time, the fire alarm went off at Westside Elementary School. Any students and staff who were still in the building were evacuated. There was no fire. The alarm was triggered by some dust in a vent.

The Angleton Fire Department was on site, and the fire department and the AISD Maintenance Department cleared the building.
