Important Release from AISD
Wednesday, November 8, 2023
As many of you know, there was an incident involving a weapon at a neighboring school district. We want to take this time to remind our Wildcat community about the importance of reporting any threats or suspicious behavior and about being respectful about the situation and not creating additional fear during this time.
This is often a time when students make poor choices and seek attention by copying the incident that just occurred or by adding to the chaos and fear with comments and misbehavior at school or through posts on social media.
Parents, we ask you to talk with your children about not making threatening remarks in and out of school or on social media and about not bringing prohibited items or items that look like a weapon to school. There will be severe disciplinary actions and consequences when something like this occurs. For the list of prohibited items, please review the Student Code of Conduct:

Students, parents or Wildcat community members can make a report about threats or suspicious behavior by:
- Calling Crime Stoppers at 800-460-2222.
- Using the Anonymous Alerts system through the app or by clicking https://report.anonymousalerts.com/angletonisd/ or by visiting the AISD website and going to Helpful Links.
- Contacting or telling a campus administrator.
- Contacting or telling the AISD Police (979-997-7220).
The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. If you have questions or concerns, please contact your child’s principal, and thank you for helping us keep our schools and Wildcat community safe.
