Earlier today, smoke was coming from an issue with a microwave in the Angleton Junior High building, causing the fire alarm to go off for the campus.

Students and staff at AJH were evacuated as Angleton ISD staff and emergency personnel investigated and evaluated the situation. The Angleton Fire Department was called out and has cleared the campus for students and staff to return to school as normal, and students and staff are back in the building.
