It has been a great first three days of school, and we have loved having our Wildcats back on campus! 💜🐾

As we settle into the new school year, thank you for your patience as we continue the process of leveling classes. Over the next week, you may notice changes to your child’s schedule, teacher, or class period as we make adjustments to create balanced class sizes and the best possible learning environment for all students.

Our goal is to ensure classes are appropriately sized so our teachers can best support the needs of every student. We are working carefully to make these changes with as little disruption as possible.

WEATHER UPDATE - All Angleton ISD schools will open with normal schedules and operating hours on Tuesday, January 27, and buses will operate their normal routes and times.

AISD’s Language Acquisition Department will host a Bilingual Parent Night on Tuesday, November 18, from 5:30–7:30 PM at the Heritage Junior High Library.

Families are invited to learn more about the ESL Program, connect with staff, discover resources to support student success, and strengthen their skills at home. We hope to see you there!

Reminder: Tommorrow (Monday, February 24) is a professional learning day for faculty and staff at Angleton ISD. Students will not attend school.

Important Message from Angleton ISD - AHS Drumline Competition Incident Today, our Angleton High School Percussion Drumline was at a competition at Pasadena Memorial High School. There were 43 AHS students at the competition along with two band directors and a percussion technical consultant. At the end of the competition, as the band directors and technical consultant were leaving the school, an elderly male who was standing in the hallway took out a handgun and fired a shot. The technical consultant was hit in the shoulder and was transported to a Houston hospital. The victim never lost consciousness. The AISD percussion director left the scene unharmed and immediately got all AHS students on the bus. All AHS students were safely accounted for and have made their way home to Angleton safely and without further incident. Our information is that the elderly male was apprehended by Pasadena police. AHS will have counselors on campus first thing in the morning on Monday when school returns to provide support for the students involved in this incident and any other students affected by this incident. We are deeply saddened by this event, and we wish to commend the Angleton ISD staff for their quick and decisive action in keeping our students safe. Our current information is that this is an ongoing investigation in which AISD will fully cooperate. Our hearts and prayers go out to all those affected by the incident, and we will continue to provide the needed support for our students and staff.

WEATHER UPDATE - AISD Schools Will Open Thursday Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 4:15 p.m. All Angleton ISD schools will open with normal operating hours tomorrow (Thursday, January 23). AISD officials have continued to monitor the weather as well as the road conditions and district facilities. Please continue to monitor the AISD website and social media for any updates and please continue to stay warm and safe.

WEATHER UPDATE - Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 10:45 a.m. We are in the process of assessing district facilities after the winter storm. We will communicate no later than 5:00 p.m. today about school tomorrow.
