Attention Parents of Students at Northside Elementary

Earlier today, a lawn mower caught on fire while an Angleton ISD Maintenance Department worker was mowing in the grassy field at Northside Elementary. This occurred during 3rd-grade recess. At no point were students or staff in danger, but the students were brought inside while the maintenance worker immediately extinguished the fire with a fire extinguisher. 

Out of an abundance of caution, the Angleton Fire Department was called to check the situation, and the area has been cleared.
