Angleton ISD Expanding Use of OPENGATE Weapons Detection Systems
To the Angleton ISD Community:
The safety and well-being of all who learn, work, and visit Angleton ISD remains one of our top priorities. As part of the district's continued commitment to campus safety, AISD will expand the use of OPENGATE weapons detection systems on a random and rotating basis across all campuses beginning in November.
This initiative represents the district’s continued commitment to providing a safe and secure environment for all students, staff, and visitors. The OPENGATE weapons detection system, a state-of-the-art security technology, allows for effective weapons detection with minimal interruption to daily operations while maintaining a welcoming and efficient entry experience for students, staff and visitors.
Angleton ISD will continue to evaluate and enhance safety initiatives as part of its comprehensive emergency management and school safety plan. The OPENGATE weapons detection system serves as an additional safety measure designed to help prevent prohibited items from entering our campuses while keeping student movement efficient and uninterrupted.
