Fall pictures are tomorrow. Bring your smiles!

Reminder - Fall Picture Day is tomorrow morning!
See you tomorrow at open house 5-6:30PM.

In 3rd grade, we took a creative twist on author’s purpose! Students chose a reason to write and created their own pieces—persuasive, informative, or entertaining. Afterward, they proudly read their work aloud while classmates worked to identify which author’s purpose was used.

We hope to see all you at open house this Thursday!

Last day to order is this week Sept. 17. Help our school libraries thrive! There's still time to show your support by purchasing a "979 CATS" t-shirt or sweatshirt. https://www.successfund.com/2qg4j

A huge eruption of learning! Ms. Heard's 1st and 2nd graders had a blast with their volcano project Friday. This kind of active, engaging lesson is what makes our school community so special. Thanks, Ms. Heard and Ms. Garcia, for making science so exciting!

Who says math review can't be an adventure? Our 5th graders took their learning to the hallway for a gallery walk, working through task cards posted on the walls. This innovative method keeps students active and excited about reinforcing their math skills. It's awesome to see them so focused and ready to learn!

There were so many great photos taken at literacy night that we had to make two posts to be sure and include them all! Please enjoy the last of the pictures.

What a night! A huge thank you to all the families who came out and made our Literacy Night and Book Fair such a success. We loved seeing everyone engaging in the literacy games and gathering valuable information about reading. Your involvement is what makes our school so special!
Our Pre-K students were "wild about books" in the library today! After a story, they had a blast building and experimenting with blocks and counters. Hands-on learning is the best learning, using their imaginations and fine motor skills to create incredible things with different manipulatives. Building, creating, and learning all in one!
Our 5th graders dove into an exciting Bingo review game today! It was fantastic to see them collaborate and put their knowledge to the test, all while preparing for their upcoming assessment. Learning is always more fun when you're actively involved!

💙🐾 Wildcats Shine Bright! 🐾💙 Each day we celebrate the students and staff who make our school such a special place. Thank you for your hard work and heart! #WildcatShoutOuts #ProudPrincipal

What an incredible day for our 2nd graders! Thanks to the amazing generosity of various community businesses, each student was able to choose a new book to take home. The excitement in the room was palpable as they explored their new literary adventures! A huge shout-out to Megan Speir for leading this wonderful initiative. Our Wildcats are diving into reading!
