Shining a bright light on our February Stars! We are so incredibly proud to announce our Star Teacher, Melanie Heard, and our Star Support Staff, Cigee Morales! Schools are more than just buildings; they are built on the dedication of people who show up every day with a smile and a passion for our students. Please join us in thanking Melanie and Cigee for everything they do to make our school a wonderful place to learn and grow!
Kick off Read Across America Week with a double dose of fun this Monday, March 2nd!
We have two great ways to celebrate:
Option A: Wear your favorite hat for "Hats Off to Reading!"
Option B: Go full Seuss and dress as your favorite character to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday!
Our amazing cafeteria staff is joining the party with a special Dr. Seuss Menu featuring Green Eggs & Ham Sandwiches and "Lorax Look-Alike" carrots! Plus, every student who eats a school lunch will get a bookmark and a chance to win a Dr. Seuss book.

🌷 TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY! 🎶
Our 2nd graders are ready to "Think Spring!" We can’t wait to see all their hard work pay off during our program tomorrow, Thursday, February 26th. Two things to remember for tomorrow:
Morning: Please send your child’s costume to school with them! We will be having our dress rehearsal for the other students during the school day.
Evening: Please have your child in the music room by 5:30 PM. The program will begin at 6:00 PM.
Whether they are dressing as a gardener, a bee, a baseball player, or a flower, we know they are going to be stars!
See you tomorrow evening! 🐦🐝⚾️

Who knew "work" could be this much fun? In our Pre-K classroom, center time is where the magic happens. Whether they are building architectural masterpieces with blocks, practicing fine motor skills with LEGOs, or developing social-emotional language over a "phone call," our students are learning through every single interaction. We aren't just playing; we’re building the foundation for a lifetime of curiosity!
Congrats Pre-K! You had the highest attendance last week and you get the recess bag!

Our Kinder students are officially "powering up" their reading skills, by taking a trip to our Heart Word bulletin board to celebrate the students who have reached new milestones. Whether they’ve mastered 10 words or 50, we are so proud of the hard work they’re putting in to become super readers!
No classes? No problem! Even though the students have the day off, our Book Fair doors are wide open! We want to see our community come together to celebrate a love for reading. Stop by, browse the shelves, and help us make this our best fair yet. It’s the perfect time to grab some new stories without the rush of the school day!

Reminder: No School Monday February 23.

We had such a fantastic Spring Picture Day yesterday! We believe every student deserves their moment in the spotlight, so we made sure every single child had their portrait taken, regardless of whether they had an order form in hand.
We want all our families to have the chance to capture these memories. If you’d like to purchase your child’s photos, you can view and order them online!
Order here: hamiltonorders.com
Deadline: Online sales end this Sunday, February 22nd.

What a week at Rancho! We just wrapped up Kindness Week, and our students showed us that "spreading kindness like confetti" is a full-time job. From wild animal prints to our favorite Disney characters and full rodeo gear, it was amazing to see everyone come together to celebrate being a good friend. Check out some of our favorite looks from the week! Which day was your favorite?
Last call for boots and buckles!
Tomorrow is Go Rodeo Day! We’re ready for a day full of school spirit and some seriously good grub. Which are you more excited for: the Western outfits or the BBQ lunch?

Our 5th graders transformed our cafeteria into a Living Wax Museum today in honor of Black History Month. Visitors had to find the "magic button" at each station to bring these historical icons to life. Once "activated," students stepped out of their wax-like poses to share powerful stories—in character!—about leaders like John Lewis, Ruby Bridges, and Malcolm X. Seeing our students take such pride in their research and public speaking was the highlight of our week!
Do you have a 5th grade student interested in joining the HJH Aristocats Dance Team next year? It’s almost that time! Please join us for our Mandatory Audition Parent Meeting.
