Earlier today, a fire alarm at Southside Elementary went off, and all students and staff were immediately evacuated. There was no fire or smoke. The alarm sensors were affected by the weather, which triggered the alarm to go off. The Angleton Fire Department was called, and along with members of the Angleton ISD Maintenance Department and security team, they checked and cleared the building. The students and staff have been allowed back into the building to return to school as normal.
