Important Message - OPENGATE Detection System at Wildcat Stadium

Angleton ISD is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all students, staff, families, and community members who attend school events. As part of this commitment, a new security measure will be in place beginning with upcoming events at Wildcat Stadium.

The OPENGATE detection system will now be utilized at all entry points into the stadium. This system is being implemented to increase safety for venue visitors by enhancing security screening while also allowing for a smoother, faster entry process.

About OPENGATE
OPENGATE is a state-of-the-art weapons detection system designed to identify potential threats without the need for guests to empty their pockets or bags. Unlike traditional metal detectors, OPENGATE provides a more efficient and less intrusive screening experience, ensuring shorter wait times and improved crowd flow.

How It Will Be Utilized at Wildcat Stadium

  • All visitors will be required to pass through the OPENGATE system before entering the stadium.

  • Spectators should be prepared to walk through the detection system in an orderly manner, following the guidance of event staff.

  • While OPENGATE allows most personal items to remain on your person, security staff may request additional screening if the system detects a potential threat.

  • Guests are encouraged to review Angleton ISD’s stadium guidelines regarding permitted and prohibited items to help ensure a smooth entry experience.

Angleton ISD appreciates the community’s support and cooperation as we take proactive steps to ensure the safety and security of all who attend our events.
