5th graders in Mrs Osburn’s Science class were putting their investigation skills to work today. They made Ice cream to demonstrate how Mixtures and Solutions are formed. #CelebratingCentral #AchievingExcellence

The 3rd grade students in Mrs. Hornback's class visited Mathville this week. They role played at various stores in Mathville to review multiplication/division for their first Unit 1 assessment. All students were reading, writing,and mathing!! #CelebratingCentral #AchievingExcellence

📸Picture Day is coming up! 📸 Central will be taking their Fall individual pictures on Wednesday, September 24. You can order online anytime before the picture day. Our One Book, One School initiative starts TODAY!! All students from PreK-5th grade will begin reading "The Wild Robot Escapes"! One Book, One School helps students celebrate and explore the novel with their classmates. This essential strategy reinforces reading instruction and builds a true community of readers throughout our school! For several years, Westside has proudly welcomed Central’s bilingual Pre-K students for a special tour of their campus—a fun and exciting way to introduce them to their future school and help ease the transition into kindergarten and the Dual Language Program at Westside. This year’s tour was extra special, as it marks the final one of its kind. Beginning next school year, the bilingual Pre-K program will be located at Westside, bringing our youngest learners under one roof even earlier!
