You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man! Kinder went on an adventure today exploring the school looking for the elusive gingerbread man! In the process they learned all of the important locations of the school and many smiling faces along the way! Stay tuned for more pictures! We are excited for the first day of school tomorrow, August 18th! Our doors will open at 7:40, and parents may walk students to class, or to the cafeteria for breakfast if 1st-5th and need breakfast. All drop off will be at the front doors on Locust Street for PK- 5th grade, so please do not block the right side of the road nearest the school. You may park along Anderson Street, on the opposite side of the school on Locust St., or any other side roads near the campus as long as you are not blocking traffic. Reminder that Locust St. is a one-way road during school hours. Please watch the video for how to enter onto Locust St. for car rider drop off. Central Elementary teachers and staff are excited to open our doors on August 13th for Meet the Teacher from 4 to 5:30 pm. All parents and guardians will be able to visit their child's classrooms once rosters are picked up from the gym. All back to school forms must be completed first. We also ask that all parents and guardians download the Angleton ISD app for easy communication and access to Central events. We have another reading challenge for our wonderful Central readers! The White House Summer Reading Challenge! We are kicking things off with a very special nationwide challenge hosted by Second Lady Usha Vance! The White House is inviting all kids (grades K-8) to join the official Summer Reading Challenge. The goal is simple: pick any 12 books that inspire your curiosity—fiction, nonfiction, classics, or new favorites—and read them between June 1 and September 4. Once your child finishes their 12 books, you can submit their reading log online.
