We are so excited to see everyone at Open House from 5:00-6:30! This may be one of our most exciting yet! Mrs. Curtis, Communities in Schools representative, organized a Resource Fair!
There will be free goodies from different organizations, but also a food truck to purchase dinner from, nothing Bundt cake in case you'd like to purchase dessert for yourself or treat a teacher!
In addition, our amazing PTO will be in attendance with information on how to join and also selling school shirts and merch!

Mrs. Correia does an excellent job setting clear expectations and keeping ALL students actively engaged in their learning! Through purposeful partner discussions, timers to keep students focused, and intentional questioning, she makes sure every student is thinking, talking, and ready to share. 💜🐾

Empathy in action. Mrs. Fawehinmi & some of our NS Second Graders explored what empathy looks like, sounds like, and feels like as they acted out a new student joining their classroom and looking a little sad.
“It’s okay to be sad. WE’ll figure this out together.”
That "WE" is powerful! Empathy isn’t about fixing someone’s feelings—it’s noticing, caring, and making sure they don’t have to navigate a hard moment alone. Northside Wildcats capture hearts by creating an environment where students learn to see one another, support one another, and understand that every feeling has a place.
We feel. We connect. We grow. Together.
Join us next Tuesday, September 15th as we celebrate International Dot Day! The purpose is to encourage our students to “make their mark” by embracing creativity, courage, and self-expression. It reminds children that even a small idea or action can make a difference—and encourages them to believe in themselves and their abilities.

Congratulations to our very first Teacher Champ of the 2026-2027 school year!

Mrs. Dasilva was caught in the very first week of school doing an excellent job teaching students the process and expectations for an MOP (means of participation) sequence!
She was also caught reinforcing expectations and creating urgency as she uses countdowns in her classroom.
Way to build systems and teach engagement strategies that will support student learning and achievement all year long!
