Please ensure your child gets a restful night of sleep, eats a healthy breakfast, and receives an encouraging word before heading out the door! Students do not need to study for this assessment. It simply helps us gauge where your student is in Reading/Language Arts so we can properly support or challenge them.

Friday, September 4: Domino’s Fundraiser Ends
This is the final day for the Slice the Price card sales! All proceeds directly benefit Field Day, field trips, student programs, and end-of-year awards. Cards ship directly to buyers, and your child receives full credit.

Looking Ahead: No School on Labor Day
Monday, September 7: Labor Day (No School)
Enjoy the long weekend! Labor Day honors the contributions, achievements, and sacrifices of the American workforce.
Origins & History: In the late 19th century, rapid growth during the Industrial Revolution forced many Americans—including young children—to work 12-hour days in harsh conditions. On September 5, 1882, 10,000 workers marched in New York City for the first labor parade. Following the 1894 Pullman strike, President Grover Cleveland signed legislation making Labor Day a federal holiday on June 28, 1894.
Modern Traditions: Today, the holiday offers hardworking people a well-deserved day of rest and serves as the unofficial end of summer with parades, barbecues, and family time.

Birthday Marquee Announcements ($10)
Make your Wildcat feel like a superstar! For $10, your child’s name will be featured on the school marquee for their entire birthday week. Summer birthdays can celebrate with a "half-birthday" shout-out!
