We are already collecting items to make our 2026 shop the best one yet for our students. Just bring your donations along when you come for Winterfest and drop them off at the 4th Grade Pod. Our 5th graders got a "taste" of geometry as they used Cheez-Its to review area and perimeter. This hands-on activity helped students visualize how square units fill a space (area) and how linear units wrap around the outside (perimeter). We are officially fueled up and ready to start our new math module!

There is something so special about the quiet hum of a classroom at work. Our third graders were busy exploring the world of poetry—learning how authors use specific words to create feeling and rhythm. From identifying "mood" to analyzing "Falling Leaves," these students are becoming quite the literary experts!

"Intelligence plus character—that is the goal of true education." — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

This week in the library, our students didn't just read; they reflected. We connected Dr. King’s timeless message of human dignity to our own lives and classrooms. Seeing our young leaders discuss kindness, respect, and how to navigate real-life situations with grace gives us so much hope for the future.

Our first graders in Mrs. Buchanan’s class are officially becoming experts! From dolphins to desert snakes, these students are hard at work on their animal research projects. It’s so much more than just drawing—they are learning how to take their planning sheets and transform them into complete sentences. We are so proud of the focus they are showing during the revising and editing process as they bring their books to life!

As the weather starts to chill, we want to make sure all our students stay warm! Our Lost and Found is currently overflowing with 'missing' treasures waiting to go home. We love seeing our students' daily adventures, but we’d love even more for these items to find their rightful owners. Please take a moment to look through our online album—if you spot something belonging to your child, simply reach out to their homeroom teacher or have them stop by the front office. Let's get these items back where they belong! View the album here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/10fy8Ghzd6DvLGOA8EU-o_ILLSzdOZAEm?usp=drive_link

There is nothing quite like the "aha!" moment in 2nd grade! In Mrs. Aaron’s class, our students are tackling three-digit subtraction. From using whiteboards to following along with the big screen, these mathematicians are working hard to master regrouping and problem-solving. We love seeing their confidence grow every single day!

Thanks to our recent library grant, our students are diving into new STEM and Makerspace kits. These first graders from Miss Aleman’s class earned some special library time and wasted no time putting their engineering skills to the test. It’s amazing to see them collaborate, follow blueprints, and bring their ideas to life. We are so grateful for the community support that makes these resources possible!
