Our 3rd grade scientists took learning beyond the classroom! Through a hands-on investigation using playground equipment, students explored how forces such as pushes, pulls, and gravity affect motion in everyday life. This real-world experience allowed students to connect science concepts to the forces they encounter daily!

Today PreK celebrated the completion of their box unit with a Drive In movie! Families used boxes to make our cars, trucks, and even buses. We watched Cars while snacking on popcorn, drinking juice, and treats in our transformed boxes. We were old school cool at our Drive in.

The fire station visited the lower grades today to teach them about fire safety. Please talk to your child about your family's emergency plan and be sure to check the batteries in your alarms! Thank you to these special heroes for teaching our children the rules of fire safety!

Central Elementary Student Council is selling PJ days for $1.00. Students can purchase up to 30 PJ tickets. This will allow them to wear pajamas to school just by handing their teacher one of their tickets. Funds raised will support our school-wide Wildcat Shack. This is our quarterly store where students use Cat Bucks they have earned for good choices and showing good character to buy awesome prizes.

💜Exciting news in the Central Library!! 💜 Mrs. Duron is partnering with Apple LaunchPad through the Education Service Center Region 13 to bring creativity and coding lessons to our students. This is through the LaunchPad Apple Community Education Initiative. For the next 6 weeks students will be using iPads to use creative, coding and robotics apps. Our Child Nutrition staff have a fun circus-themed menu planned for the entire week, and our kitchens will be getting into the spirit as our staff decorate their cafeterias and serving areas with a circus theme!

We may be a few days late posting but.... 1st & 2nd grade transformed into Starbucks for National Coffee Day! They were served by their baristas and practiced descriptive words to describe their chocolate milk... I mean, coffee! Such a fun way to learn while sipping 💚

Central students had a blast at Games with Grandparents! We had an overwhelming turnout and so many happy families. Thank you all for joining us. If you have some pictures, we would love if you shared them below!

Workin' 9 to 5!! Our teachers work so hard- we wanted to shower them with some Dolly cheer... because they are some diamonds in a rhinestone world! We hope our students loved seeing all of the fun Dolly wear!
