🎗️✨ It's Red Ribbon Week! 🌟 A time to stand up against drugs and promote healthy choices in our communities. This year's theme reminds us that our commitments to a drug-free life can inspire others and create a ripple effect. Let’s take this opportunity to educate ourselves and our peers about the dangers of substance abuse and the importance of making positive decisions. Together, we can foster a supportive environment for everyone. Remember, every choice counts! 💪❤️ #RedRibbonWeek #DrugFree #HealthyChoices

Homecoming Week Dress Up Days.

🍂✨ Fall Break is here! Parents, it's the perfect time to tackle those hoodies and backpacks!
As the weather cools down, let's freshen up those favorite hoodies that have been worn all season. A good wash can make them feel like new again! 🧺
And don't forget the backpacks! A quick clean-out can uncover forgotten treasures (and maybe a snack or two!). 🥪📝
Take advantage of this break to organize and refresh. Your kids will appreciate it when they head back to school! Happy Fall Break! 🍁❤️ #FallCleaning #FreshStart
Southside students and teachers showed up in their western wear again on Tuesday.
We hope all of our families enjoy the fall break. We will see all our students on Monday in their mismatched clothes for day one of homecoming dress up fun.

Join us for a family, fun, free event.

Ms. Johnson's preK students have been learning the letters E and H. To finish off the week they had show and tell. The line up was fantastic and included the following:
🦸♂️ **Hulk** showed us that it's okay to be strong AND kind!
🐘 **Elephant** reminded us that big friends have big hearts!
❤️ **Heart** shared the love with everyone!
🍔 And who can resist a delicious **Hamburger**?
What a wonderful way to learn and have fun with our favorite letters! Can’t wait for next time!

📏✨ Math in Action! ✨📏
Mrs. Lookingbill’s 4th graders took their perimeter and area practice out into the hallway today! Using tape to map out shapes on the floor, students worked together to calculate side lengths, total perimeters, and areas. Learning is always better when we can get up, move around, and see math come to life! 💡🙌

3rd grade science students discovering how magnets work with out contact. They created their own maze and had a partner try to complete the maze using a paperclip and magnet. Lots of smiles, laughter, and learning all at the same time.

Parents and families, be on the lookout for the October family calendar coming home with students on Tuesday. There are so many exciting events happening in October we don't want anyone to miss out!

4th graders demonstrated forces that act on objects with contact and from a distance on Friday with a fun Science lab. Can students pull the card fast enough to make the object drop into the cup? Everyone had some success and a few "aha" moments.

It's not too late to order your child a school shirt. Use the QR code in the photos to place your order.

Leading by coming to school! Our 5th grade students won the POP party for the 2nd month in a row. Congratulations 5th grade. Keep coming to school. Thank you Mrs. Matheson for organizing this fun event each month.
