3rd graders had a great time measuring, testing and recording physical properties of matter today during science. Students worked cooperatively and had a lot of fun at the same time.

Thank you Southside PTO for the amazing breakfast treat this morning. All of the donations were greatly appreciated and the teachers and staff really enjoyed being spoiled this morning.
Ms. Josey, Southside Principal, used the time students were waiting for the bus to read a story to them. She loves interacting with our students and making them feel loved.

Just a friendly heads-up that, due to the start of the school year and our focus on establishing new routines and procedures, parents will not be able to join their students for lunch until after September 8.
This allows us to ensure a smooth transition for all students, especially our youngest learners, as they get used to the cafeteria environment and their lunch schedule. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize a safe and organized start to the school year.

We are thrilled to kick off another exciting school year with our amazing fourth graders! The students have already had new adventures, they are making new friends, and exploring their classrooms.
What an amazing first day of school at Southside Elementary! Our classes were filled with excitement, laughter, and learning as we welcomed our students back. Teachers and staff worked hard to make today special, and we are so proud of the way our Wildcats came into the new year.

Just a quick reminder that you must have a Southside issued car rider tag to pick up your child from school! If you don’t have one, please stop by the office to get yours.
If you arrive without a tag, you’ll need to check in at the office to verify your identity. No child will be dismissed through the car lane without a car tag.
We had an incredible day on Friday with our teachers parading through the neighborhood! They brought so much excitement and energy, getting everyone pumped for the return to school on Tuesday.

Southside teachers and staff had a great morning at the district convocation event. We enjoyed some great games and activities, heard a wonderful speaker, Damon West. He shared his incredible story. The energy was fantastic, and it was a perfect blend of learning and fun.
Our amazing electives teachers and intervention teachers are the heartbeat that keeps Southside running strong! From sparking creativity in art and music, to encouraging healthy living in PE, to providing intervention support that helps our students shine — they make learning fun and meaningful every single day.
