UPDATE - Photography at Graduation
Thursday, May 22, 2025
Angleton ISD has secured a company to provide pictures of graduating seniors for purchase by parents/guardians and family members. Group Photography, a photography studio/group that does other graduation events in the area, will have photographers at the event. They have provided a link and QR code for people to register. When using the link, individuals will need the following access code: ANGHSGRD25. The QR code provided does not need an access code; it goes straight to the link for Angleton High School.
After registering, people will receive a notification when the pictures are available. (The link and QR code will also work after the photos have been made available after graduation with the same access code specific for AHS.)

Angleton ISD communications staff and AHS Journalism will have photographers at graduation as well. There will be a total of seven photographers from the district and AHS. These photographs will be made available to the public free of charge. The public will be able to access and download the photos through a link that will be made available the following week on social media and on the high school website.
AISD very much appreciates the help from the community on resolving this issue and hopes everyone has a safe and joyous graduation and end of school.
Letter to Seniors and Parents of Seniors
Wednesday, May 21, 2025
Dear Parents,
We wanted to address photography at the upcoming graduation ceremony on Friday, May 23.
First, we would like to take a minute to address the issue that some parents have about not being able to go onto the field and track after the ceremony ends. We wanted to explain the district’s reasoning for this decision, which has been in place for the past few years.
As our graduating class has grown each year, our number of guests has grown as well. We usually host approximately 10,000 people at the stadium that evening. With that number of people in attendance, we must consider the safety and security of our graduates, our staff and our community. The district cannot safely manage such a large crowd on the field. In addition, we have to consider the stress that such a large number of people can have on the track and field. Protecting the facility against damage is another factor in the decision not to open the track and field up to the graduation guests after the ceremony.
We understand some of you are upset by this decision, and we want to reassure you that we hear your concerns. We will make sure that the stadium lights remain on for at least 45 minutes after the ceremony ends to ensure graduates, their families and guests have time to exit the stadium safely and take pictures outside of the stadium if they choose, and we will make sure our police officers are on duty in the parking lots to assist with traffic.
In addition, we wanted to make you aware that we will not have a professional photography studio on site at the ceremony taking pictures of graduates after their names are called. In the past, Hamilton Studio has been at the ceremony to do so. They were not under contract with the school district to do so. This was a service they offered to parents separate from the school district at a cost to parents. They would contact parents to offer a photo of their graduate.
Hamilton Studio reached out to AISD officials a few weeks ago to tell us that they would not be able to take pictures anymore for Angleton High School's graduation due to the growing size of the graduating class. Since then, AISD officials and AHS staff have reached out to multiple area photography studios to see if any would like the opportunity to step in and take pictures at graduation, again, separate from the district and at their own expense. The studios we have reached out to have either declined to take on the process for the same reasons Hamilton Studio gave or have not returned our calls and emails.
One thing to note is that in order to handle a commencement ceremony with multiple graduates, as Hamilton Studio has in the past, it would need to be another photography studio with multiple photographers in contract to take on the process, not an individual photographer. We will have district photographers and AHS Journalism photographers present at the ceremony taking pictures throughout the evening. All photos that the district or high school photographers take will be shared publicly through a link on social media and on the high school website.
Again, we understand these issues may be frustrating. We want to capture as many memories as possible for all our graduates and their families, and above everything else, we want to make sure our Class of 2025 Graduation Ceremony is safe for all to enjoy so our Wildcats have a special and memorable experience.
Thank you!
Angleton ISD
