Earlier this morning, one of our Angleton ISD employees was hit by one of our buses while walking into work at the Transportation Center. Emergency personnel were called immediately, and the employee was lifeflighted to a hospital to determine the severity of injuries.

At the moment, our main focus is making sure our employee is okay. We do want to let parents know that some routes may have been delayed in picking up students while emergency personnel handled the accident, but all bus routes are still running this morning.

We also want to let parents know about another accident that took place yesterday afternoon when one of our buses hit a vehicle on FM 521 at Sally Lake Road. There were no injuries in this accident, and the students who were on the bus at the time were safely transported home by either their parents or on another bus that was brought to the scene.
