AHS Wildcat STEM Academy
The Wildcat Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Academy mission is to provide students a rigorous curriculum focusing on STEM and 21st Century skills to prepare them for success in college, career, and life. The purpose is to increase student achievement while creating a new workforce of problem-solvers, innovators, and inventors who are self-reliant and able to think logically.
For students focused on a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics career:
Advanced level coursework (Advanced Placement and Dual Credit Courses)
Hands-On Learning via Project-Based Learning
Earning college-level credit while in high school (minimum of 15 college hours)
Working with engineers and technical professionals and real-world job experiences
Experiencing College Readiness, STEM Career and Industry Events, and field trips
STEM based extracurricular activities
Robotics Club
Workforce in Training (WIT)
HOSA, Health Organizations Student Association
