Mental Health and Behavioral Team

The AISD Mental Health and Behavioral Team is made up of a caseworker, Licensed Social Workers and Licensed Professional Counselors who can assist AISD students and families in times of need.

AISD Social Workers act as liaisons for the homeless and foster care populations as well as assist students and families with other needs, like providing groceries through the Angleton School Market food pantry and the Backpack Buddies program that sends food home with students for meals over the weekend. Social Workers are also able to assist families with emergency supplies when needed.

The district's Licensed Social Workers and Licensed Professional Counselors can assist students and families with counseling services, therapeutic interventions, crisis interventions, crisis assessments and support from the district.

The team also provides social and emotional learning presentations to staff throughout the district to make sure AISD staff is prepared and capable of meeting non-academic student needs.

The team also manages the Student Services Helpline, a phone number families can call to receive help with temporary crisis management as well as get more information about available resources, support services and referrals. Call the helpline at 979-997-7960. Helpline hours are M-F 8am-3:30pm.

Families can also use Anonymous Alerts, an anti-bullying and safety reporting system, by going to Anonymous Report
