Congratulations to the 2024-2025 inductees of the Angleton ISD Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame:
--Rodney J. Boehm - Angleton High School, Class of 1974
--Fred V. Williamson - Angleton High School, Class of 1972
Rodney Boehm had a highly successful career in professional engineering for 35 years as part of the design staff at Bell Laboratories, product manager at Rockwell International, sales and marketing at Fujitsu Network Communications, and chief operating officer of GroundForce Building Systems. In 2014, he took the role of Director of Engineering Entrepreneurship and Associate Professor of the Practice for Engineering Entrepreneurship at Texas A&M University, using his extensive background in industry to bring real-world experience to college students.
Fred Williamson left a lasting impact on the community through his work in the criminal justice field, where he served as Chief of Juvenile Probation for Brazoria County and was instrumental in the development of the Brazoria County Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program, which was the first in the state. Williamson retired as Chief in 2005 and also served as Mayor of the City of Danbury from 2006-2010. He passed away in 2019, but his commitment and legacy to the young people of Brazoria County lives on.

You will not be able to access Skyward Student Management, Family Access and New Student Online Enrollment (NSOE) during this time.
REZONING UPDATE - We have added the student enrollment projections for the preliminary draft zones to the "Rezoning Info" on the AISD website at www.angletonisd.net. The enrollment projections are above the maps of the potential new attendance zones for the 2025-2026 school year on the website.
REMINDER - There is a brief survey/form for Angleton ISD to collect input and allow our community to ask questions about the changes starting in the Fall of 2025 when we open two additional schools – Heartland Elementary and Heritage Junior High. The survey will close on Friday, August 30. (AISD has been developing new attendance zones as well as a new transfer policy for the 2025-2026 school year - not next school year.)
ATTENTION PARENTS - Important Message about School Supplies
The Angleton ISD school supply lists at our Angleton Walmart do not match up with the school supply lists from the school district. The QR codes that Walmart has on signs around the store lead parents to Walmart’s corporate school supply list. These are not the correct AISD school supply lists. Walmart has been provided hard copies of the correct AISD school supply lists, and the lists can also be found on the AISD website under the Back to School HQ (under Students and Families) or at https://www.angletonisd.net/site/Default.aspx?PageID=410
UPDATE - Angleton ISD will be open tomorrow (Monday, July 15) from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Right now, three of the facilities are still without power and will remain closed. They are the Angleton Operations Service Center (3000 Technology Dr.), Frontier Elementary (5200 Airline Drive), and Southside Elementary (1200 Park Lane). We will communicate once these facilities have power restored.

Attention ALL Community Brazosport College Students - Angleton High School will be open Monday, July 15 and Tuesday, July 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for any Brazosport College (BC) student who needs to do coursework for the college. This is open to all BC students in the community, whether they are Angleton High School students or current high school students. All BC students needing to do assignments are welcome. Students will need to bring their own devices to do any coursework. This includes computers and cameras for tests. AHS has power with internet service and air conditioning. Check-in is at the AHS front office.

Monday, July 8, 2024 - 3:30 p.m. - Important Update about the Weather
Angleton ISD will be closed for the remainder of the week as AISD personnel work to clean up damage within the district from Hurricane Beryl. At this point, the district will open on Monday, July 15 as normal.

Due to the inclement weather starting this afternoon, Angleton ISD will be closed tomorrow, Monday, July 8. We will continue to assess the situation and any damage to the district after the storm and will communicate about when we will re-open the district. Please stay safe!

Wednesday, July 3, 2024 - Important Message about the Weather
We are monitoring the weather as the course of Hurricane Beryl continues to be tracked by weather officials. We will keep you updated if any changes need to be made to next week’s district schedule. We will communicate any updates under District News on the website and on our AISD Facebook page.
Congratulations to Emily Davis and Kelsey Payne!
Davis was named head principal of Heartland Elementary School, and Payne was named head principal of Heritage Junior High School. Both schools will open in the Fall of 2025.
At the meeting Tuesday, the Angleton ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the adoption of the 2024-2025 Budget and Compensation Plan at a total of $1,621,693. As part of the plan, they approved a three percent raise for AISD employees, with a $2,200 cap for administrators, as well as a $300 mid-year salary bonus and a $1,000 retention bonus to be paid in August.
“Our board is committed to maintaining our standard raise and bonuses for our employees,” AISD Superintendent Phil Edwards said. “That is something they feel strongly about as does the district, and we are happy that we are able to offer them again.”
Also at the meeting, the board approved the hiring of the principals for the new elementary school and junior high school. Emily Davis will take the lead of Heartland Elementary when it opens in 2025-2026. Davis is currently serving as the assistant principal at Northside Elementary. Kelsey Payne will become the new head principal at Heritage Junior High School in the Fall of 2025, coming from an assistant principal position at Westside Elementary.
“We had a number of excellent candidates for both principal positions,” Edwards said. “We are happy to announce Ms. Davis and Ms. Payne as the final decisions and believe that they will bring great insight and leadership skills to our two newest schools, helping our students find success.”

Angleton High School will be closed to the public until 1:00 p.m. tomorrow, Monday, June 17 due to an electrical issue with the main breaker. AHS summer staff will report at their regular time in the morning to the CTE Center, which is operating as normal. The rest of the district will also open as normal tomorrow.
The issue at the high school is expected to be fixed by noon. If you have any questions while the issue is being fixed, please contact the main district number at 979-864-8000.
