In March, the Angleton Alumni Association hosted their annual Handbags & Gladrags event — a fun event dedicated to raising funds for student scholarships. A huge shoutout to the talented students from Culinary, JROTC, and Floral Design who lent their skills and helped make the event a success! To show their appreciation, the Alumni Association recently visited the CTE building to personally thank these amazing programs — and presented each group with a check to support their continued excellence.

Brazoria County and AISD do not presently have any cases of measles, but we would like to make sure our parents and staff are informed. Two doses of MMR are recommended for optimal immunity, with the second dose given no sooner than 28 days after the first. For most everyone, these two doses were given on a recommended schedule at age 12 months and 4-5 years. It takes 14 days after receiving the MMR vaccination for the development of immunity to the measles. If fully vaccinated there is no recommended action at this time. If you have questions, please contact your family physician, campus nurse or Health Services Coordinator Dena Bryson at 979-864-8054.
