Attention AISD Parents - Angleton ISD has sent parents a very important letter about the new, approved attendance zones that will go into effect next school year and which school their children will attend based on the new zones. The letter has been emailed to parents, and it was also mailed to the home addresses we have on file for each student. Parents should have already received the email today, and the letter was mailed earlier this week.
It is extremely important that parents read the letter, which is specific to their children. Not only does it let parents know the school their children will be zoned to attend starting with the 2025-2026 school year, but it also has a link to a form where parents can ask questions or address concerns about where their child is zoned and a link to the transfer guidelines that start next year.
If for some reason, you do not receive the letter either by email or in the mail, please call 979-864-8059.

Message about the Weather - Monday, January 6, 2024
Angleton ISD officials have been monitoring the cold weather in the AISD area. At this time, AISD will follow its scheduled plans for the week, and schools will open as normal for students tomorrow, Tuesday, January 7.
When making decisions about closing school for cold-related weather issues, AISD officials examine the weather conditions to ensure travel to and from school is safe. If there is potential for snow and ice that could create unsafe road conditions, then we will review the situation and make appropriate decisions concerning canceling school. In the event of cold and rainy conditions that do not create ice or hazardous road conditions, we will continue school as we know our schools can offer safe and warm facilities for all our Wildcats.
Please continue to monitor the AISD website and social media for any updates.
Stay warm!

Happy New Year! We wish you a wonderful 2025.
Don't forget...Staff returns Monday, January 6, and students return Tuesday, January 7.

Wishing our Wildcat family a warm and joyful Christmas! 🎄

The Angleton High School girls basketball teams went on a shopping spree this morning, all for a great cause. The varsity and JV teams raised close to $600 to buy toys, which will be handed out to children in our community. Coach Dwayne Archangel partnered with the Beyond Blessings organization to make this happen.

At the December meeting, the Angleton ISD Board of Trustees addressed several key district initiatives and celebrated the achievements of students and staff.
The board approved the final attendance zones that will go into effect in the 2025-2026 school year to accommodate growth and balance enrollment across campuses, including the addition of the two new schools opening in 2025. Maps and important information have been updated on the AISD website at www.angletonisd.net/Rezoning.
AISD Superintendent Phil Edwards says the rezoning process has been extensive, and the district has worked hard to provide a rezoning plan to meet the needs of all AISD students.
“We started this process several months back and built in points to collect input from our community, including parents, staff and students,” he said. “We also understand the importance of getting the information out to parents as quickly as possible so they have time to prepare for any changes next year.”
Edwards says the district has built a communications plan that will make sure they communicate the rezoning decisions with parents in multiple communication platforms to make sure parents know the changes and how they affect their children.
“After we return from the holiday break, we will send letters home to parents of every child in the district, making sure they understand where they will be zoned next year, and these letters will be sent through mail, email and other means,” he said. “The letters will be specific to each child and will give parents information on how to ask questions, get clarification, and request a transfer if desired.”

Have a holly jolly Christmas break Wildcats! 🎄⛄️

This Sunday, Angleton ISD Superintendent Phil Edwards helped the Brazosport Symphony Orchestra (BSO) and the Brazosport Symphony League spread some extra holiday cheer at their annual holiday concert — A Very Broadway Christmas. Mr. Edwards competed against other local celebs to help raise money for the BSO. The winner was the guest conductor for the BSO’s rendition of “Sleigh Ride” by Leroy Anderson. While Mr. Edwards didn’t win the contest to be the conductor, he won our hearts with his sleigh bells performance.
A special shout-out goes to Westside Elementary’s very own librarian Dr. Jennifer Bozone. Dr. Bozone plays the cello in the BSO. She did a superb job!!!
Also, congratulations to winner Kristi Traylor Johnson from Brazosport High School for winning the special guest conductor spot and to Brazosport ISD Assistant Superintendent Ron Redden who was another valiant contender.
