💖 Kindness is making its way through the hallways! 🛒✨
Our amazing counselors are showing heart in the hallways and spreading smiles with their Kindness Cart! From encouraging words to little surprises, they’re reminding our students that kindness can brighten someone’s entire day. 💕😊
We are so grateful for the care and compassion our counselors bring to our school community! 🌟

🚤 **Do you want to ride a boat to work every day?**
🐢 **Help out with sea turtles and play with manatees?**
🏞️ **Teach kids about preserving our national parks?**
These are just a few of the amazing career possibilities Ranger Caroline shared with W.I.S.E. during our first Zoom meeting of the year!
Caroline Cardenas is part of the Education Team at **Castillo de San Marcos & Fort Matanzas National Monuments** and participates in the National Park Service’s **Ask a Ranger** program, connecting with students to share her knowledge, experiences, and love of the outdoors.
Her advice to our W.I.S.E. students?
💬 *“Make sure you love what you do because you might be doing that for a long time.”*
We are so appreciative of all our National Park Rangers and the incredible work they do to protect our parks, educate others, and inspire the next generation. A special **THANK YOU** to Ranger Caroline for taking the time to chat with W.I.S.E. yesterday!

Parents, please remember you have 48 hours to submit an excuse for an absence. Parents are able to submit notes for the 1st 6 weeks all the way through the business day of TUESDAY (9/29).
Our beautiful Snappy has been getting A LOT of attention this week! She is settling in very nicely at HJH. She's measuring 12.5 inches. We'll weigh her next week to check her growth. She's got a healthy appetite!
Join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage month!
Our 8th grade boys played hard against Santa Fe last night. B team played an impressive game but came up a little short. A team tied Santa Fe 8 to 8. Nice job boys!
Heritage has started the Be the I in Kind initiative. Every week, staff members will be on the lookout for acts of kindness. The student’s name will be submitted and they have the opportunity to be the Cool, Kind Cat of the week! The student receives a personalized CKC keychain, their favorite snack, and a shout out. We ask that you join our efforts in helping make ‘kind’ cool again 😎
This week’s Cool, Kind Cat is Ava Westerbeck! She was caught spreading kindness by assisting a 6th grade student who was struggling with her math homework. Thank you Ava, for helping another wildcat succeed in the classroom!

Today we welcomed a new friend to Heritage!
All the way from the Nile… well, from Crocodile Encounter, if you want to be accurate!
We’re so excited to have our baby foster crocodile joining the Heritage family. Our students and staff will get to watch this little guy grow throughout the year, and we can’t wait to see just how much he changes!
Welcome to Heritage, little croc! We’re glad you’re here!
